Kirsten Hamlin has been taking pictures for most of her life. As a child she toted around a pink Barbie 110 and later her first 35mm point and shoot, a turquoise L.A. GEAR camera that she distinctly remembers begging her grandmother to purchase for her at a yard sale.

At the age of 14 she learned to develop her own film and print in the darkroom. She went on to study Fine Art Photography at the Corcoran College of Art and Design and Towson University.

Kirsten now resides near Baltimore, Maryland. She spends her days making photographs, practicing yoga, and playing with her two little boys and husband.
